Happy Birthday Mama!!

I just had to do a shout out to my AMAZING mom on her special day!! Happy Birthday!!! I just wanted to brag about how awesome my mom is! Here are some things that I love about her...

-She has always been so crafty and probably has more decorations than anyone I know. Her house is decorated perfectly and she can arrange flowers like no ones business!
-She is a great cook. We always go over for sunday dinner and she always serves the best food. I think that Mikkel secretly wished that I cooked like her.
-She has a great sense of humor. We always joke around and have so much fun together. She gets me and I get her.
-She is so kind and generous. She is always willing to help me if I need it. She always knows just what to say to make me feel better.
-She has gone through more than most women ever go through in life, but she still has a great attitude! She is such a great example to me and I admire her for her strength and faith.
- She is beautiful. She takes good care of herself and always looks so cute!
-She is super cool and the best mom in the whole world!!

Here are some more pictures of our valentines day weekend in Mesquite! Hailey and Brinley were twiners

on valnetines day. I helped them make delicious sugar cookies which was so fun! Everyone loved holding litte baby hudson! He is such and angel and it is sad that we live so far away from them! Mikkel even held him... although he thought that he might "break him." He looks so cute holding a baby!!

Today...

1. I haven't showered yet, nor do I plan to do so any time soon!
2. I have lists of things to do, which took most of my energy to write the lists!
3. My dog is staring at me with sad eyes cause she wants to go on a walk, which I can't do until #1 is accomplished.
4. I have black streaks on my eyes from yesterdays make-up that didn't get washed off last night.
5. The sun is shining, yet it doesn't motivate me to get going for the day.
6. I have laundry and more laundry to do.
7. We have a new desk to put together that has been sitting in my garage for a week. this will require taking out the old desk.

Too much to do and yet I complain that I don't have enough time to get things done during the week but it is almost 1 pm and I have done nothing... ugh

My New Nephew!!!

This Weekend we are in Mesquite visiting my sister and her new little baby boy!! His name is Hudson James Hughes and he was born on Thursday the 12th. He is so stinkin cute! We are having lots of fun here and i really don't want to come back to the snow and cold! its been nice being able to wear short sleeved shirts and be outside. Here are some cute pictures of the little guy.

This Time Its for real

Well last night my mom called me to tell me that grandpa had really died this time. He had been doing good this week and they wanted to move him to a rest home. He did not want to go and didn't know why he couldn't just go home. He was fighting them on whether he was going or not and he was not happy with the decision. Well two hours later he past away. My grandma said, "I told you he wasn't going to go to the rest home." I guess he wanted to go to a better place instead. He was such a sweet man and I will miss him. I have never had anyone close to me die. Both sets of my grandparents have been around my entire life. In fact I don't think I have ever been to a funeral. I have been fortunate to not have had experienced the loss of someone... until now.

My Grandpa Died! kind of...

Yesterday my mom called me and told me that my grandpa had died. He had been very sick and couldn't do much for himself anymore. He got up to use the bathroom and had fallen over and stopped breathing! The ambulance rushed him to the hospital were they told my grandma he was dead. I was surprised but at the same time I knew it was coming. I cried and felt bad for my grandma and what she must be going through. My dad was very sad and was having a hard time with it.  Two hours had passed when my mom called me back and said he was now alive and on life support. I was shocked and overwhelmed at the same time! My mom told me that today he was talking about how during his "out time" he had seen and talked to several family members who had died many years ago. How amazing is that??? its a miracle! He is still in the hospital but he is doing good and I am still amazed at what happened. Hopefully he will get to go home and live for a few more years!!!
