IT'S ALIVE!!

Remember how my phone got submerged in water on Thursay?... I decided to let all the water dry out of it for a few days. Last night Mikkel put the sim card back in and turned it on and.. IT'S ALIVE! it still worksl. I have no idea how it survived the intense bubbles of the foot spa! All my numbers are still in there and I made sure that I saved them all to the sim card this time! I feel connected to the world again and will not place my phone into things that could potentially hold water.

2. I am very particular as to how the dishwasher should be loaded. (I can't even watch Mikkel load it anymore, it drives me crazy!)

4. I am a pack rat! I still have projects that I did in elementary school. I also still have 4 shoe boxes full of notes that friends gave me in Jr. and High school.
5. I am a very picky eater! I don't like to try new foods.
6. I have a constant need to moisten my lips with chapstick every 5 minutes!
7. I walk with my feet turned out all the time. Its from all the ballet classes!

A Bad Night!!

So tonight I had two crapy things happen to me!! First, I had a long day of teaching dance and my feet hurt really bad! I got home and decided to soak my feet in a foot spa. I went and got the foot spa and some other things I needed. I had too much to carry down with me so I just put everything in the foot spa and went down stairs. I emptied it out, plugged it in, and put water in it. I turned on the bubbles and slipped my feet in. I felt something under my foot and looked down to see my phone floating in the water!!! I screamed and grabbed my phone out! I started flipping out and panicing! The phone was dead and all of its insides were drenched! We took out the sim card to see the damage. It looked like it was ok. I thought, "Oh good! atleast I will have all my contacts saved, I can just use my old phone." So I found my old, less cool, phone and plugged the sim card in it. The phone still worked fine. I scrolled down to the phone book, EMPTY... nothing! After panicing, and flipping out some more, I realized that all my contacts were saved to the destroyed phone, not the sim card! I now have nobodys number and feel like I have lost contact and all connection with the outside world! So a lesson is to be learned here: Always write down all your friends and families numbers in case something like this happens!
After This I just wanted to forget what happened and focus on something else. I have been wanting to make our blog more appealing so after searching for a while I found a cute layout on Pyzam.com. I got it all figured out and saved it to my blog. I went to view my new blog page and it had erased my photos and friends list on the right column!! Are you serious!! More of my life erased! GONE! After that I didn't feel like searching through blogs to re-find all my friends. I also dont want to curse anything else I do tonight, so I am going to bed! I hope my house doesn't burn down while I am sleeping!!

Mikkel's Steak

Over the weekend a lot of questions came up as usual, "What should we do tonight? Who should we call, what should we eat tonight?" So as we are discussing our options, Mikkel decides he wants to make this gourmet steak. He had a very elaborate recipe for what he wanted. So we decided to go to the store and buy the ingredients so he can make the amazing steak. So we leave the store with the ingredients and decide to stop and rent a movie. After that Mikkel realizes that he needs Brandy to cook the steak in... yes Brandy! So its a little after 6:00 now and we are figuring out the best way to go about purchasing this 'Brandy.' We are driving down the street and we spot an AppleBee's. Mikkel says, "Oh they have a bar! I will just go in and order some brandy to go, easy..." Not! they wouldn't let him order it unless he was sitting down to eat. He had already tried to find it in the grocery store, but we are in Utah... so our last resort... the state liquor store, which was conveniently located near our house. So we drive up feeling somewhat guilty and uncomfortable, I don't know why, we weren't going to drink it. Mikkel parks away from the huge sign that indicates what the store is, so of course i couldn't get a picture of him walking in. So he zips up his jacket all the way, i guess to hide as much of himself as he could, and runs into the store. As I was waiting I was watching people come out with their brown paper bags and smiles on their faces. Then Mikkel came out with the biggest smile on his face along with his little brown bag!! We drove away laughing. We got home around 8:00. It was now time for him to create this sinful steak! He began sauteing, dicing, slicing, simmering, stirring, grilling and finally garnishing. After 5 pans, 2 plates, 3 spatulas, and 6 spoons. It was now after 10 pm and Mikkel could finally eat his dinner.

He is an amazing cook and I was very impressed and proud of him that night! I was also confused as to why he doesn't do the cooking every night! I think he knows I'm impatient and wouldn't wait around for 6 hrs for my food.

Little Sis

Yes I know this like is my 5th post today, but I am home sick due to some unpleasant chicken I ate last night. Curse you Costa Vida!! In this pic I am with my little sister, Hailey. Most people think she is my child and that my mom is the grandma. We get tired of explaining the situation to people, so now I usually just go along with it. I think a lot of people wonder why my child calls me by my first name, I guess she's to cool. She comes to stay with me on the weekends that my mom travels for work. She is almost five and will start kindergarten in the fall. She takes after me, therefor loves to dance. She is my #1 fan and always wants to watch me in "The Nutcrakcer." I love her so much!!

I warned you all that i would have more pics of our dog than of us. . . this is sadie sleeping on the back of the couch in her favorite spot. I try to put bows in her hair because they look so cute, but usually she refuses to let me. I take advantage when she is sleeping!

All Blogged Up!!

So I have decided to start a blog for me and my husband. I have had friends tell me to start one because it is so much fun. I was hesitant because I knew that I would spend countless hours posting new things and or looking at other blogs. Also my husband thinks it is lame but maybe he will change his mind after this is up and running. I was inspired to start this blog from our neighbors, Lesley and Trevor Winn. I recently read their blog about their awesome basement projects. Trevor mentioned that my husband mikkel helped him with some of the work. He also mentioned that we probably would never read it because we are not into the blogging thing. Well after reading that and somewhat feeling left out, I decided to start one of our own. Now I have to say that we don't have kids yet so our blogs wont be that exciting. But we do have a dog named Sadie and sadly most of the pictures on our camera are of her. So you might see a lot of her, but we'll see if I even have time to put pictures on here. . .
