Poor Duck...

Sadie has this little Aflec duck that is (was) her favorite toy! This thing was old, dirty, mangy, and blind (cause Sadie ripped the eyes out a year ago). She loved this duck and carried it around every where. We played many games of fetch and keep away with the duck. Well today Sadie decided to de stuff the duck by viciously ripping the stuffing out through its jugular. That duck had a great life with Sadie and is now laid to rest in the trash can!

**4th Of July Fun!**

This year we had our friends and family over for a pool party and barbecue for the 4th. Mikkel's sister, her husband and two kids live in Colorado so it was fun to spend time with them while they were here visiting! We started the day by swimming and laying around the pool. Mikkel, Brennen, and Joel played an aggressive game of keep away and water basketball. The kids had fun splashing in the water and playing around with each other. We ate tons of great food then got right back in the pool for more fun.

We all had such a great time and enjoyed being with each other. After the sun went down we sat on our balcony and watched about 10 different fire work shows from all over the valley. We are so lucky to have an awesome view from the back of our house. We still got to enjoy them with out the crowds and traffic. They were delightful! Trevor, Lesley, Meredith, and Brandon belted out patriotic hymns from next door, which added to the magical evening! Thanks for providing the music guys!!

Me... Read For Fun?

Mikkel and I had a discussion a while ago about books we have read. He was a little surprised at my confession of having only read a few books for fun. Now, I have read a lot books but they were required for school classes, but I have never been one to curl up with a good book, read for entertainment, or even buy books. I realized that I do need to read more and keep my brain working. After much debate with myself, I am committing to read the Twilight series. I have heard awesome things about the books and I want to read something that wont bore me to death. My friend Lesley let me borrow all 3 books with out any collateral. Thanks Lesley! This means I have to read them because I can't give them back and say I didn't read them. I also can't keep them forever... So I am off on my reading adventure! Wish me luck and I hope to discuss the book with you fellow Twilight fans. I will keep you posted on my progress :)

There You Are Summer!

Well according to the massive sunburn I got on my back from Friday's visit to the pool, It is now summer! Oh to feel the sun beating down on my skin in hopes of getting a golden tan... or burn, is what summer is all about! I love lounging around the pool and floating through the cool water! oh yeah!

Where Are You Summer?

I can't wait for it to be summer! Actually summer! I am sick of the bipolar weather! I am freezing one minute then hot the other. When I am neither of those, I am being blown over by the wind! I wake up not knowing what to wear. Last week I found myself wearing a long sleeved Shirt, a jacket, long pants, socks, and shoes. I never thought I would be wearing that much past the month of April! What will mother nature bring tomorrow?
